Cotton Belt SD45T-2 9165 is leading three Milwaukee Road SD40-2's and three GE units on an eastbound train passing Mullinville, Kansas 40 miles west of Pratt in September of 1983. This is part of the ex-Rock Island from eastern Kansas to Tucumcari, New Mexico that was purchased by the Southern Pacific and rebuilt into a high speed mainline.
