Yes, on Tuesday February 23rd it snowed again in north Texas! I took the day off and headed south towards Cleburne where the heaviest accumulations of one to three inches was predicted. When I hit town I heard actvivity on the radio down by the yard office as the BNSF 767 North with a Ferromex trailing pulled up to a stop. I framed the units with milepost zero on the Cresson Sub in the foreground.
Over to the left the BNSF 2739 was switching cars.
I intended to head on south towards Rio Vista, but first I heard the FWWR switching out by Windmill northwest of town so I detoured that way first. When I pulled off the highway I found GP50’s 2010 and 2011 working the local customers as the snow started to come down harder.
After this series of photos I heard the BNSF dispatcher talking to maintenance of way around Morgan thirty miles to the south about clearing up for two northbounds. Calculating the mileage versus time I decided I should be able to make it to Blum sixteen miles south to catch the two trains in the falling snow.
Oh, and by the way if you were wondering the correct answer to the last post is photo number four!
