The next westbound out of Fort Worth to show up at the east switch of Iona turned out to be an intermodal with five six-axle units on the point, all elephant style.
This train was quoted on the radio as being over 8,000 feet long just like the MFWWC stopped ahead of it at Aledo, and all five units were pulling hard.
We were surprised to see no DPU on the rear end of this one as it slipped silently by.
