As David and Terry and I arrived at the Trinty River bridges just south of Tower 60 late in the afternoon of June 25th, the radio alerted us the BNSF 7246 North was leaving Tower 55 headed our way. David stayed down by the grade crossing while Terry and I elected to walk up on the Samuels Street bridge. We did not know what type of train to expect, but even so we were surprised when the BNSF 7246 North turned out to be the only locomotive on a bare table train.
Panning left I took a second shot as the power crossed over the river. It was late enough now that the bridge I was standing on cast a long shadow that precluded any reflections in the dark water to match what I got here two days earlier.
This was an extremely long train as Terry and I walked all the way back to the crossing before the rear end came by. The eastbound FWWR Cresson Turn was waiting west of Tower 60, so we hurried on ahead to the NE 29th Street grade crossing.
