Here are two more shots from Thursday morning April 2nd when I was out to get the UP 1988 and the BNSF 9647. While I was talking to the engineer on the UP 1988 in North Yard this northbound train on Choctaw Sub Main One almost snuck by before I could raise the camera.
Later on while John Briggs and I were checking out the Allen Street overpass as a possible location to catch the 9647 heading south through Ney Yard to the Midlothian Sub we heard the UP Terminal Dispatcher clear the BNSF 715 North to leave Birds and come through Tower 55. We walked on west across the bridge and were ready for this view a few minutes later.
Thursday afternoon I managed a few good shots around Saginaw.
