Our travels now took us back to Avondale to check on the loaded coal train with a new SD70ACe.  It had not moved, and we thought about giving up on it.  Then Bruce Barry made an original move and walked down this driveway to ask the home owner if we could photograph it from his back yard.

Bruce sold our situation well, and quickly we found ourselves trackside.

We all worked the angles, and I liked this one with a small fir tree.

A roster shot rounded out the sequence for me, in spite of the high sun.

The radio alerted us that an eastbound intermodal would run around the coal train in the next few minutes.  Not liking the angle here, we moved east to Hicks Field for this shot of the train passing the runway on the right.

From here we decided to have lunch and go after the Fort Worth & Western.
