Two Yard Jobs and a Local
Next up in the parade across the diamonds was an eastbound yard job heading back to North Yard with “shoving platform” 999779 leading the way.
A few cars later the job’s two units slipped into the viewfinder.
As the yard job retreated in the distance, another northbound UP was given clearance to head north on the Duncan Sub.
With two GP60’s up front, this train looked like the northbound Duncan Local.
As soon as the UP train had cleared the diamonds the foreman gave clearance to the two BNSF Gensets 1291 and 1287 to pull north on the Fort Worth Sub with a cut of cars,
and then come back south into the flour mill spur.
Once the local was locked into the spur, it was time for the next set of moves.
