Problems?

Filed under Daily Doings | Posted by KenFL9 at 7:15 pm

After a cell phone call from Brian Tindle up north, yesterday around 1:00pm John Briggs and I caught Amtrak Train 821 coming through the Trinity River bottoms during the last few minutes of its journey from Oklahoma City.

Amtrak 0185 South Train 821 Fort Worth TX 03-22-08

Due to the trailing P42 facing the wrong way and the BNSF SD40-2 on the rear, there must be story to tell.  Anyone know what it is?

I caught them going north, but the BNSF SD40-2 wasnt with them. Both P42DCs in your picture were in the same position, but good ol’ 90229 was on point for the northbound journey.

They went north on Friday evening with the SD40-2 leading. I asked a fellow DS who was riding on it that trip and he said the AMTK 90229 was Bad Order. Don’t know why they just didn’t turn 1 of the P42’s.

90229 was on the rear of the southbound Heartland Flyer. Both P42DCs on the HF on Saturday were still on there today.
