Family Day Part 2

Katy Heritage SD70ACe 1988 was the UP’s display engine for the 2007 Fort Worth Family Day event.  The Missouri Pacific unit would have been more appropriate here at theis ex-T&P, ex-MP facility, but moving trains is the first priority and the Katy unit was already in the immediate area.

I sat on the left side of the cab myself a few minutes later, and took this shot of a yard job passing the bowl tower.

Back at the UP Railroad Police tent, Brian Daniels was swearing in two new recruits after pinning on their Junior Special Agent badges.

A large display of garden scale trains was also of interest to the children.

Now I saw the event passenger train returning from its first run.
