Railfan Shots From Family Day
While photographing the Family Day scene for the UP, I took a few roster shots purely for my own benefit. First up is the BNSF 6493 leaving the bowl with a transfer run back to Saginaw Yard.

The event’s passenger train ride to Iona and back over the Baird Sub had left on its first trip before I arrived. When it returned I saw it consisted of a pair of new Gensets with what I think are two of John Radovich’s ex-Amtrak coaches and an ex-Amtrak baggage car refitted as a power car sandwiched in between. Here is a view of the east end as the train pulled up to the loading spot.

Katy Heritage SD70ACe 1988 was the UP’s display engine for the 2007 Fort Worth Family Day event. The Missouri Pacific unit would have been more appropriate here at theis ex-T&P, ex-MP facility, but moving trains is the first priority and the Katy unit was already in the immediate area.
