On Saturday the 10th Judy and I headed west under heavy overcast towards Sweetwater to see my father.  The radio was very busy as a train was broken down at Weatheford with the mechanical department on the way out of Fort Worth, another westbound was in the hole behind him at Earls, and the 4374 West had just left Iona.  I exited I20 outside Weatherford and headed over to the tracks at Center Point Road, arriving only seconds ahead of the 4374 West as he moved to pass the two trains ahead of him.

After taking detail shots of the freight car wheel sets on Sunday February 4th, I headed back towards home via Tower 60.  A southbound headlight on the BNSF mainline sent me to the south end of the Trinity River bridge just in time to hop out and set up for this shot of a pair of ex-BN SD40-2’s pulling a ballast train.

As I was leaving Hodge Yard Sunday afternoon enroute back to the house, a line of freight car wheel sets on a temporary track set up by WATCO to do contract repairs caught my attention for the first time.

Troy’s switch job had just tied up when I arrived at Hodge Yard, and we looked over the HO scale equipment he had for me.  Before long the radio came to life with the 901 job passenger train calling his approach to Hodge outbound from Grapevine.  The MTO told him to come through Track Six in the yard as the main line was full of cars.  Troy and I walked over so I could record his passage, and while waiting I shot the 2005 and 2006 tied down in Track Five.
