Basic Services at Browning
Before long we were making our first station stop since Essex as we pulled into Browning, MT. I would not want to be standing under that eave when the snow lets go!
The rudimentary scrawl on the depot door and the chalk board showing our on time arrival even though we are about 30 minutes late at this point indicate a laid-back approach here.
Our stop was very brief, and soon we overtook an eastbound autorack train in the siding for us.
Several miles down the track at Blackfoot we met the second westbound of the day as the stopped train filled our window for a few seconds.
After this I sat back and read for awhile as we picked up speed and the continuing snowscape unfolded outside.
