A Shiny New ACe

I felt like I could use a train fix on the way home yesterday evening, and the UP obliged with a wesbound leaving Centennial Yard just as I was passing by.  It looked like a MFWOD train, and the lead unit was brand new SD70ACe #8497.  I pulled over and caught him rounding the last curve onto the mainline.

He was moving slowly enough that I was able to get ahead of him and set up for one more picture at Horse Club Road.  By now he had his whole train out on the main, and was up near the 50mph track speed.

Nose-on with his K5LLA blaring out its discord melody, the 8497 and three other units began their journey towards Sweetwater as I was ending mine towards home.
