Yesterday’s two shots were in the country, so today we’ll move back to the city. Today Tower 55 in Fort Worth is covered up by freeway overpasses, and is off limits to boot. Twenty years ago however, if you were polite and followed basic safety rules, you were able to excercise more freedom in shooting around the Tower’s base. For example here are two slides taken from the northwest quadrant. First off we see the MP 3126 South passing over the diamonds on its way to New Yard on June 14th in 1981.
Next we are treated to a westbound MP train about to cross over the diamonds on its way to Centennial Yard in July of 1984.
I think the Photo Gallery’s MP folder is full enough now, so I’ll find something different for Tuesday.

Now that is some good vintage MP photos. I bet you have some classic SP Tower 55 stuff waiting for us somewhere in the vault.
