Two more Missouri Pacific slide scans will finish off the weekend. The first is of a meet on August 15th in 1981 at Inola, OK halfway between Caremore and Wagoner. Three SD40-2’s are pulling their southbound train past the small depot on the left as they are about to pass the crew and caboose of a northbound local train on the right.
Three years later in July of 1984 I found a convenient overpass near Marshall to get this morning shot of an eastbound MP freight on its way from Fort Worth to Texarkana.
This view is still available today, but very few of the locomotives are blue any more……
